Focused business websites

Websites built to do business.

Clear, credible and commercially focused websites for businesses that have outgrown “good enough.”

A useful website

Your website should earn its place in your business.

A business website has a job to do. It should explain what you offer, give potential customers confidence and make it easy for the right people to take the next step.

Too many websites make visitors work too hard. Important information is buried, the business looks less established than it really is, and enquiries are lost through vague messaging or needless friction.

DevMuse creates focused business websites designed around clarity, credibility and action. A better website, built around what your business needs it to achieve.

Built around your customers

Design the decision, not just the page.

A good website helps potential customers answer four questions quickly.

01

Is this the right company for me?

02

Do they understand what I need?

03

Can I trust them?

04

What should I do next?

We build around those decisions: clearer headlines, stronger service explanations, visible proof, sensible page structure and an obvious route to making contact.

Experience beyond page building

A long view of what makes the web useful.

DevMuse founder Hayden Hewitt has worked with the web since its first commercial boom. His background spans online publishing, high-traffic platforms, commercial websites, business systems, independent film and modern AI-assisted development.

He returned to hands-on website design during the late 2010s and rediscovered the part of the work that matters most: taking a business that deserves to look better online and giving it a website that properly represents it.

That experience brings perspective. We focus on what makes a website clearer, more convincing and more useful to the business behind it, not on chasing every design fashion.

Direct responsibility

Designed, developed and delivered directly.

You work with the person responsible for thinking through, designing and building your website. No layers of account management and no project disappearing into a production queue.

Built properly

Established tools where they fit. Our own code where it helps.

We may use our own enquiry forms, carefully selected components or small pieces of code that improve control, reliability or performance. The aim is a sensible result, not needless complexity.

Substantial bespoke functionality, custom plugins, integrations, portals and application-like features are outside the £1,200 package and are scoped separately.

What makes it different

Five working principles.

Every decision should support the job the website needs to do.

01

Clear

Visitors understand what your business does within seconds.

02

Credible

The design, content and details support the company behind them.

03

Commercial

Each important page guides the visitor towards a useful next step.

04

Proportionate

You get what the website needs without layers of process or needless technology.

05

Extendable

The site can grow into payments, booking, automation or bespoke systems.

A straightforward process

Five clear stages.

Enough structure to protect the work, without turning a focused website into an agency production.

01

Understand

We discuss the business, its customers and what the site must achieve.

02

Structure

We agree the pages, content needs and overall direction.

03

Build

The site is designed and developed, with progress shared.

04

Refine

You review it and we make the agreed final adjustments.

05

Launch

We test, connect the domain and hand over the live site.

A clear boundary

What is not included in the £1,200 package?

The fixed-price package keeps a focused business website straightforward and affordable. Larger needs can still be discussed and quoted separately.

  • Online shops or extensive product catalogues
  • Membership platforms or client portals
  • Complex booking systems
  • Bespoke calculators or interactive tools
  • CRM and third-party software integrations
  • Large-scale copywriting or branding projects
  • Custom plugin or application development
  • Ongoing marketing or search-engine campaigns

Frequently asked questions

Plain answers before we begin.

Is £1,200 the final price?

Yes. The focused five-page website costs £1,200 when the project stays within the agreed package scope. Larger websites, ecommerce, advanced integrations, extensive copywriting and bespoke functionality are quoted separately before work begins.

Is this a template website?

The site may use a carefully selected technical foundation, but its structure, presentation and content are shaped around your business. We do not simply replace the text and logo in a generic industry template.

Do I need to provide all the wording?

You provide accurate information about your business, services and customers. We help organise, refine and strengthen it for the web. Full copywriting for larger or more complex sites can be quoted separately.

Can you use my existing branding?

Yes. We can work with your current logo, colours and brand materials. If no formal brand system exists, we create a sensible visual direction from the materials available.

Can you host and maintain the website?

Hosting, maintenance and ongoing support can be discussed separately. You are not required to remain with DevMuse after launch.

How long does a website take?

A focused five-page website can usually be completed quickly once the required content, access and feedback are available. We agree the schedule before the project begins.

Already have a site?

Broken, slow or neglected?

Website Rescue is the separate route for diagnosis and repair when an existing site needs a calm pair of hands.
